09/28/08 – Geocaching In The News

Here’s something that sounds like a lot of fun – Cacheapalooza! It’s a fun-filled weekend of mostly ‘old-school’ Geocaching in the beautiful Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, Florida. For more information drop by here.

We’re continually picking up snippets of information related to the Maryland Municipal League Geocache Trail. Apparently this trail is being created to promote the cities and towns of Maryland with a Geocaching connection. It certainly sounds like a big undertaking and also a worthwhile one. Here’s a bit more info. Here’s one of the latest towns to come on board. We’ll be keeping our eye on this one!

There’s new Geocaching software coming for the iPhone that looks and sounds like a winner. You can find out more here.

And finally, what can be better than Geocaching? Geocaching with donuts, of course! And not just any donuts either! Three new Krispy Kreme donut franchises are opening in Phoenix and to celebrate they are holding a ‘Glazed Treasure Hunt’. Yep, you heard right.
